Dieser Truhentyp kommt aus den Tiefen des Mittelalters, er kann als Typ der Urtruhe bezeichnet werden. Seine Bretter sind nicht gesägt. Alles ist mit der Axt gespalten und mit Holznägel zusammengehalten. Besonders in der Gothik (1450-1600)war er in ganz Europa verbreitet.
This chest has roots to the deepest medieval times, it
can be considered as the primeval type of chests. No sawed boards all are cut
by axe and fixed with wooden nails. This techniques were especially in gothic
times (1450-1600) spread over whole Europe.

In manchen Ländern wurde der Truhentyp bis ins 19. Jhd. gebaut. Diese hier wird wohl 200 Jahre sein.
In some countries this type of chests were
build up to the 19. century. This chest here is probable 200 years old.
This chest is worm defeaded and waxed.
The chest is verry solid made of beech wood.
